One of the most unmistakable guitar players of all time, Nile Rodgers' funky rhythms helped Chic to the top of the charts in the 1970s. A key group of the disco era, among the bands' best known tracks are 'Le Freak' and 'Good Times', the latter of which has been sampled by everyone from The Sugarhill Gang to Shakira. Chic disbanded in the early 80s, and Rodgers went on to work is magic behind the boards, becoming an uber producer for David Bowie and Madonna. He then became introduced to a whole generation of music fans through his guest spot on the worldwide smash hit single 'Get Lucky' from Daft Punk and Pharrell.
