The Grass Roots

1960's folk rock greats
Why see The Grass Roots?
Back to the 60s
The project of prodigious songwriting duo P.F. Sloan and Steve Barri, The Grass Roots are one of the 1960's most underrated bands, and the one with the most changeable line-up. In fact, the band changed wholesale at one point when LA band The 13th Floor took on the moniker in 1967. Despite The Grass Roots' fluctuating member list, they still produced some of the most memorable hits of the decade, fusing the sound of the English 'beat bands' with American folk and blues. Among their best known numbers are 'Midnight Confessions', 'Temptation Eyes', and 'Let's Live for Today'.
