Paula Abdul Lights up Las Vegas

Singer, dancer, choreographer and original American Idol judge, Paula Abdul will be gracing the city of Las Vegas with a residency this August. Paula made her start in entertainment as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers before becoming a choreographer and being enlisted by The Jacksons. Her music career kicked off with her 1988 debut 'Forever Your Girl' which was one of the most successful debuts of the time.

Paula is an original music icon and is known for her hits 'Straight Up,' 'Forever Your Girl,' 'Cold Hearted' and 'Opposites Attract' as well as being a judge on American Idol alongside Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson.

In 2018, the star headed on a nationwide sold-out tour and is ready to bring that same dazzling energy to the Las Vegas stage.

GREAT SHOW BUT ONE HUGE CAVEAT

Absolutely great show with one major problem. It can only be seen well from the floor. DON’T SIT IN THE BALCONY! Even front row balcony seats can only see the main portion of the stage. Paula starts the show from the middle of the floor. Couldn’t see it. She moves to a platform that sticks into the front rows. Even standing up couldn’t see it. The Emcee does things in the same area and further toward back of floor audience. Couldn’t see it. Performers (Paula and others) go on the floor and couldn’t see it. Seriously, hasn’t ANYONE from this production watched it even once from the balcony?!?! It’s a very simple fix. Add one camera person to show action on the floor on the two screens that are up and on each side. And to top it all off...per staff there is NO ELEVATOR! Two 70+ people in our group were literally in pain after climbing up and later down almost three stories! A real shame to have such an otherwise great show ruined. ... Read more
