These boys still got “it!”
Frank, Dusty and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top rocked the The Venetian! What an awesome experience, to see these legends smoothly play, hit after hit! 🎶!
Zztop rocks
What a treat to see the boys play Saturday night at the Venetian. Best show in 10 years. They started with got me under pressure and ended with Viva Las Vegas and jail house Rock.the Venetian acoustics were excellent. The sweet smell permeating the air was a nice bonus. Go see them before you can’t.
I may have had more fun than anyone there
These guys rocked. I was in Orch Row G. I started at McGeary's. I drink 1 or 2 times a year. This was my 62nd birthday eve, and I lived a 2 mile express bus away, so I took the bus downtown. Started out with some shots of tequila and a beer chaser. Ended up with a couple more before going in the show. I was a little wobbly so a nice young man walk this old guy across the street and into the show. I wouldn't have made it in without his help. They played many of my favs. So, sorry folks if I happened to be near you in the show. I was the 62 year old dude standing up for better sound, screaming his lungs out, thanking the band, Billy and Frank, by name. Went back to McGeary's afterwards and sang some Frank Zappa for karaoke. I lost my pancho. Went to get the slow bus home and started singing, "Waitin For The Bus", because I saw I had a 30 minute wait. Then the 922 Express BusPlus appeared and I got on. Dropped me a block from my house. Took 2 days to recover. Had a blast.
Loved Show!
I was thrilled to be there with my daughter! We had great seats near the stage but not too close! I liked the opening act and loved ZZ Top! Evthing was perfect! All the ppl who worked the concert were very nice too!
ZZ Top still brings it
Excellent venue and impeccable sound made for a great show even though they’re still getting their moves perfected. Elwood is a worthy continuation of our beloved Dusty, even visually fitting the bill. The big screens located at 10 and 2 were large enough, clear and colorful providing a front row type experience to all. I can only guess that the seats were just too comfy for the front and center audience as they sat on their hands the entire show, so folks just behind did too making this only the second time in my 40-50 shows that everyone stayed seated. The other was a Universal Studios show in early 1995. Incredible!!! About 30 rows back I was coming out of my skin, being considerate of those behind me. Perhaps the high prices of the front and center seats have closed out the genuine r n r folks. So the usual interaction between Billy and the front crowd was, sadly, missed. Too bad as he’s quite a character.
ZZ On Top still!
Damn, what a great show! Sound quality was excellent and the boys are sooo tight. Billy is the coolest musician on the planet and a really nice guy. I met him at a gas stop in Utah a few years back and he chatted with us for 15 minutes and graciously signed autographs and posed for pics. He was really funny too.
