International megastars U2 are set to take over Vegas this year when they begin their first-ever residency, U2: UV Achtung Baby Live! Never a band to do things by half, these much anticipated live shows (the group's first in over three years) will take place in the Sphere, a specially built 20,000 seater venue. All the better to enjoy their epic anthems. Expect an unmissable fusion of music and visual effects as Bono, Adam and The Edge* put on the show of shows in the entertainment capital of the world!
Released in 1991, Achtung Baby marked a turning point for the band's sound, moving away from the Americana-influenced, world-conquering Joshua Tree. Swapping romantic rock for electronica-tinged mastery, it spawned singles The Fly, One, Mysterious Ways and is widely regarded as one of the band's best records, setting a precedent that created the iconic trio of 'Achtung, Zooropa, and Pop.
