Don't listen to the haters here: LRB WAS GREAT!

I saw LRB last night at the Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs…what a show! They were impeccable—great vocals from EVERY member of the band, lots of engagement with the audience, all the favorites and a couple of new songs, fast, energetic, perfect pacing and the music was incredible! They were one of my favorite bands way back in college in the 70s and I was not one bit disappointed. Besides, Wayne has been with LRB since 1980–maybe not an “original” member but certainly enough history and longevity to take them a bit beyond being a “tribute band.” Ditto with Chris. These guys were very good

I was missing Shorrock too and the horn on Reminiscing, but these guys really brought it last night! Superb guitars and vocals from all the guys, never hear guitar players all have great vocals. Very engaged with the audience which got the crowd dancing and we were encouraged to come up near the stage. Beautiful, small venue, The Paramount Theater in Anderson, Indiana. ... Read more

Great with

Shared the concert time with another group. Spent quite a bit of time between sets pitching their merch available. Spoke with a younger gal who came up to my 2nd row isle seat asking, "what do you think they'll play next?". We both wanted "It's A Long Way There". Could have been played as their alternate rendition on The Big Box (without the strings from the original) would have been doable. Anyway, as I'm a glutton for punishment and time is running out I'm going to see just them in the next month, Daytona Beach. I hope they'll play my favorite song at that concert! BTW, my 2 middle aged sons went with me, kinda preferred the opening tribute band, Billy Joel Legends-The Lords of 52nd Street, go figure. Honestly, other than them not playing a few of my faves, the concert location (seats were killers, I'm thin my spine hurt for days) splitting concert time they were great! I've seen many real and tribute concerts but seeing LRB before I fold my hands across my chest was terrific! ... Read more
