May 18th show very short
As others noted the band overpowers the vocals in the beginning . After a sound problem (so Charles,Hillary and Dave walked out into the audience and covered Landslide in a hushed theatre which was very cool ) . Then the 3 did a nice acoustic set (IMO the best part of the show ) Then the entire band came back but not so overpowering . A little over 1 1/2 hour show kinda weak
Lady Antebellum
Saw the show Wednesday 2/13 @ 9pm. Disappointing because the piano player overpowered the group. Band was too loud. Could not here the group. They had great interaction with the audience. Best performance was without the band.
Problem with View--Not a concert for listeners
I love Lady A's music. My husband and I were visiting on business and chose seats about a month in advance. We spent close to $200 for these two tickets and were really looking forward to the concert. We intentionally chose seats in the balcony...knowing that the crowd on the floor/in front tends to be where the more rowdy, standing and heavy drinking crowd would be. We had a group of young women in front of us who stood up through 75% of the concert. Not just stood....danced, waving their arms, singing at the top of their lungs and sloshing drinks around. For most of the 2 hours, all we could see was part of the video screen to the left of the stage. We thought about saying something to them. In the intro, Charles Kelley made a point of admonishing the crowd not to stifle those who wanted to stand and be rowdy. "Don't be that person," he said. Message received. So we and the 7-8 other middle aged adults beside and behind us suffered in silence. Sadly, all we can do is write off the experience as a mistake, and perhaps alert other fans of sitting and listening know that they are not welcome at the Lady Antebellum "Our Kind of Vegas" residency.
Bad mix with overbearing kick drum and bass
My wife and I had perfect seats for the show, sitting above the main floor but still close to the stage. However, the mix of the band was so bad we couldn't hear the vocals. The bass levels (kick drum and bass) were so load that it distorted the overall sound of the band. Really disappointed. I almost went looking for the sound booth to beg them to back off of the low end. If it wasn't for the 20 minutes of acoustic guitar and vocals, we would have walked out after 20 minutes.
