REO AT RUTH ECKERD HALL - GREAT SHOW - 2/7/2023

For a guy who admits to being 71 years old, I was very impressed with the vocal chops. Kevin seemed to get better throughout the evening's performance. It's just not human! With that being said, the other musicians were solid. They all delivered a great, robust perfomance. The 70's and 80's came back to life at this show. I will say that they were loud and I am very glad I brough ear plugs with me.

AWESOME

Me, my wife, and a close friend saw REO at The Celebrity in Phoenix and we had an awesome time! The band sounded tight and energetic. The lead singer was entertaining with short stories about the songs they wrote. I especially liked the story about a band mate’s divorce and the song they wrote about it. Vocals sounded spot on. Best concert I’ve been to in awhile.

REO SPEEDWAGON WAS GREAT - ZERO CROWD CONTROL

The band was great. But, security couldn't make people go back to their seats and about 50 people came up and stood in front of the stage, blocking the view of people who paid big bucks for front row seats. Security said that the band was "okay with people standing in front of the stage." Drunk guys were groping women who sat on the front row, I had a front row seat and got my foot stepped on by some guy who blocked my view of the stage. 2 fights broke out near the stage and Cronin stopped one of the songs because of it. Total chaos and nobody on the front row felt safe. Two groups left. Not cool to allow this.

TREMENDOUS BAND, HORRIFIC SOUND REPRODUCTION

REO played their hearts out. The sound was so garbled that what lead singer Kevin Cronin said in between songs was unintelligible. When he spoke into the mic it sounded like a fast food drive thru speaker at 125 decibels. The sound was so muddled that the only performances that shone thru were Dave Amato’s guitar solos. Since I really liked the venue, I would like to know if the issue was on the part of REO Speedwagon’s sound engineering or was it an issue with Ruth Ekerd hall?

REO SPEEDWAGON 7/21/21 CLEARWATER, FL

Have seen REO 3-4 times over the last 25 years. This show was at Ruth Eckerd Hall In Clearwater. Acoustically a perfect venue. The show wound have been great if the REO sound guy wasn’t deaf. Overall volume was at a consistent 107-110 decibels. Way too freakin loud which ruined the show.

OMAHA CONCERT 12 OCT 2021

Good band but too loud for sure. Would have been much better if the vocal volume were left alone and the instrument volume dropped. My ears rang though the night after the concert. Vocals were hard to understand.
