The epic Broadway musical tours

Heartbreaking tale Miss Saigon begins its country wide tour in the Fall of 2018 in Rhode Island. As a musical by Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil and based on Giacomo Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly, the story highlights the heartache and anguish of forbidden love.

Set in 1970's Saigon, the musical first premiered in London on 20th September 1989, and on Broadway on 11th April 1991 where it gained $37 million in advance sales and ran for almost 10 years. The musical has since received over 40 awards including 2 Olivier Awards, 3 Tony Awards, and 4 Drama Desk Awards.

It depicts the saga of a young girl named Kim who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a brothel. She falls in love with an American GI called Chris but everything they have is horribly destroyed by the fall of Saigon during the Vietnam war.
